The Crusade's Mission: WHAS Crusade for Children makes life better for children with identified healthcare, educational, physical, and emotional wellness needs by inspiring generosity with our community partners.

The WHAS Crusade for Children, Inc. established in 1954 by WHAS-TV, raises money for agencies, schools and hospitals to greatly enhance the lives of children with special needs.

From 1954 - 2025, the WHAS Crusade for Children has raised more than $222 Million. The first year's telethon in 1954 raised $156,726. In 2024, the total reached $5,700,525.

The total raised during the 2025 WHAS Crusade for Children Telethon is:

$5,980,189.77

50% of all net profits generated by the Save Money, Help Kids, Support Locally Owned Businesses program will be donated to the WHAS Crusade for Children, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children with a wide range of special needs throughout Louisville/Jefferson County, all of Kentucky, and Southern Indiana.

100% of all money donated from individuals, companies, and churches to the WHAS Crusade for Children will then be donated by the Crusade to more than 200 nonprofit agencies, schools, and hospitals throughout Louisville/Jefferson County, all of Kentucky, and Southern Indiana.

All who work at these nonprofit agencies, schools, and hospitals are so dedicated and very much enjoy working with children who have a wide range of special needs --- greatly improving their lives.
